This article describes how to create a backup file in QBDT.
Before starting the pre-conversion checklist, create a new backup of your QBDT file.
The Backup will create a single file which contains all company information and transactions at the time the backup was made.
When creating a backup and cleaning up data - we advise you to give this backup the name PRE_CONVERSION.QBB.
When creating a backup to upload to Dataswitcher - we advise you to give this backup the name DS_CONVERSION.QBB.
To create a new backup file in QBDT, follow the following steps:
1. Select File > Create backup
2. Select Local Backup > Next > Save it now
3. You will be prompted for a file location and filename. Click Save.
4. The backup will commence.
