Follow these steps to upload the company backup file to Dataswitcher.
Step 1: Locate the .QBW file you wish to migrate
- Open QuickBooks Desktop Company File
- Press F2 or CTRL+1 to open the product information window
- the .QBW file location can be found in the File information section
Step 2: Close QuickBooks Desktop
Step 3: Navigate to the location where to company file is stored
Step 3: Locate the *.QBW extension
- If you cannot locate the extension, select the View tab, select Details and check the File name extensions box
- the file with the .QBW extension in the name and QuickBooks Company File (under type column) is the correct file.
